Bordco NZ this is real Toys for Boys stuff
For the front cover of their 4WD Nitro Dirtboard owners Manual, we first took an existing photograph, scanned it, and in Photoshop clear cut around the rider, did some clever stuff, and added the halo effect.
For the manual contents, photographs were taken of the parts - (note all the bits and pieces holding everything in place).
The images were then clear cut in Photoshop, colour adjusted, some items re-aligned and converted to Greyscale.
The images were then imported into Freehand and labels added . Here is just one of the dozens of shots worked on.
College House. For the front cover of this 8 page brochure we started with a photograph of a building with a group of students sitting on the grass.
The students were selected to prevent the next step from effecting them.
The image was then inversed and posturised to give a sketched appearance.
Everything is kept as separate layers so that adjustments can be made to individual components without effecting the other layers.
The logo was then added and given a drop shadow to make it look as though it was raised off the page. The posturised image was finally colour corrected - taken into freehand where the text was added.
